Looking into the Distance

Situated in the foothills of the Berkshires, Litchfield County is Connecticut’s version of big sky country. The vistas are a kaleidoscope of color and light. As clouds roll through, the sky provides an ever-changing backdrop. Rising mist over a pasture; a foggy morning on the hilltop at the airport; snow-covered pines on a hillside; a snow fence along the hayfield; pale light over distant hills after sundown; an autumn tapestry of red and orange treetops. These images represent the long view that the hills provide. Sometimes you just have to look off into the distance.
